I believe this mural in the Brightmoon Council Chambers shows the founding members of the previous Princess Alliance.
The first panel has (I’m guessing) the Princess of Snow, Frostra’s mom, and some nature Princess, maybe Perfuma’s mom.
The man in the turban I’m guessing is the Prince of the Seas, Mermista’s dad, based on clothing and his icon looks like water drops. The other man in the panel has a flower icon and might also be Perfuma’s predecessor. I have no idea who the woman there could be.
The center panel shows Queen Angella and King Micah
The fourth has Castaspella, though I don’t know if she has an official “Princess” title. The figures below her are Netossa and Spinerella.
I have no idea who any of the figures in the last panel could be. They all seem to have a star theme though. The star headdress on the middle princess could also be a stylized version of Catra’s headdress. One of the holograms in Light Hope’s vision also had a cat tail, suggesting their could be some cat kingdom out there.
As a fat lesbian, She Ra (2018) has already become really important to me. I grew up seeing characters with my body being the butt of jokes, treated like they’re disgusting and terrible people. But after watching the entirety of the show reboot in one night, it’s given me hope.
Glimmer isn’t treated like less because she’s fat. I had a similar body to her when I was 13, and all the girls who are gonna grow up watching the new show and see her, being badass and adorable and insecure. It’ll have a huge effect on them, they’ll see what they can be, that they can be badass, they’re allowed to take charge of things they care about. And it’s okay to be soft, insecure, emotional, that it doesn’t make you less of an awesome person.
Spinerella has already had a huge effect on me. Her relationship with Nettossa wasn’t extremely obvious, but it wasn’t exactly subtle either. Every time we see one of them, the other is right next to her, holding her hand, her arm around her. They’re always together, and it made me so insanely happy. I cried when I saw that their relationship would be canon, because this kind of normalized representation is important. Representation isn’t effective if they make a huge deal about including it, that just makes it seem abnormal, that they should be considered bold for including it. But the way their relationship is treated, the fact that they’re two women in love is never even brought up, they’re shown being affectionate as any straight couple would be shown. And honestly, it makes me so fucking happy
