BNHA au where there is no All for One, and All Might just has some generic super strength quirk that his son, Izuku, inherits as well.

He and his wife, Inko, used to be a super successful superhero duo, but after she became pregnant with Izuku, Inko decided to quit the superhero business for good, since it never really suited her in the first place.

She becomes a stay at home mom for a few years, but when Izuku starts going to school, she decides to take over managing the business side of her husband’s hero agency.

Izuku grows up running through the halls of the agency, begging hugs and sweets from the sidekicks that are always coming and going.

(His favourite is his father’s number one sidekick, Sir Nighteye, who’s kinda weird, but super loyal to his dad and always willing to take pictures and videos of All Might for Izuku to scrapbook, and he’ll tell Izuku all kinds of stories of all the villains he and All Might have fought in the past. He doesn’t seem to have a family, but he always comes and spends holidays with the Midoriyas, so that’s okay.)

During interviews and the like, All Might will gush about his lovely family for as long as anyone will let him, and thanks to that, the entire nation has seen Izuku’s embarrassing baby photos.

Izuku is 7 when his father becomes a part time teacher at UA, so Izuku stops running through the halls of his father’s agency (which he knows like the back of his hand, probably better than even his parents) and starts exploring this new and glorious place.

He’s never there during the day, because he has his own classes to attend, but the students get used to the freckly little guy just bursting into their clubrooms and disrupting practices.

They get used to him cheering them on in his high pitched little voice.

They get used to finding him sleeping in the oddest places, or seeing various teachers carrying him down the hall like a sack of potatoes while he glares sullenly at anyone who catches his eye.

Izuku is 8 when he meets Iida Tenya, when both their parents are off fighting some big bad villain, and the 23-year-old Tensei, who isn’t yet allowed to fight villains of that magnitude, babysits them.

The two are already completely inseparable by the time they meet Todoroki Shouto a few months later, and forcefully drag him into their clique.

Izuku is 13 when he starts going to conventions cosplaying as his own father, just because he can’t get enough of the stupefied looks on people’s faces when he takes off his mask, only to reveal All Might’s son.

Izuku is 15 when he starts attending UA – he’s comfortable in his own skin, he has two amazing best friends with whom he’s attached at the hip, and two amazing girls (Uraraka and Yaoyorozu) soon to join their little clique.

Izuku is 15 when he meets Bakugou Katsuki, and he looks at the anger in the boy, the pride, and he pities him, that he never had adults around like Izuku’s parents to teach him to manage his ego.

Izuku is 15 when he notices how uncomfortable Momo and Ochako (and indeed all the girls in their class) are around one of their male classmates – Minoru Mineta. He sees the predatory smiles the boy sends their way, sees the way he harrasses them. And there’s no way Izuku’s about to let that happen in his school, and especially not in a course for heroics.

Izuku is 15 when he reports the boy to the principal for sexual harrassment, and a few months later, after one too many warnings, Mineta is transferred to the General Education department (with one more warning before expulsion), and Shinsou Hitoshi joins their class in his place.

Izuku is 15 when really starts noticing how miserable Shouto always is to return to his home, how he sometimes has bruises and burns and scrapes that have nothing to do with any of their classes.

Izuku is 15 when Shouto starts sleeping over at his and Tenya’s houses more often than he does at home.

Izuku is 15, and it’s summer break, and he and his parents finally decide to clear out one of the rooms in their house they’d been using for storage, and convert it into a bedroom for his best friend.

Izuku is 16 and he’s about to start his second year at UA, and he has butterflies in his stomach. Because he and his class had become so tight-knit over the past year, and he knows some of them will be in his class again this year, but it won’t be the same, especially not without Aizawa-sensei as their teacher.

Izuku is 16 and when he arrives at school for his first day as a second year, he opens the door to find all his classmates from the previous year. They’re all staring at him with the same wide, delighted expression he knows he must have on his face as well.

Izuku is 16 when the door slides open a moment later, and he never thought he’d be so happy to hear Aizawa barking at them all to get to their seats. UA is changing its policy, he informs them. In order to foster a stronger bond between classmates and their teachers, Izuku and his classmates will all be staying together for the entirety of their three years at UA.

Izuku is 17 when he graduates UA, with top grades and countless offers to work as a sidekick at the agencies of various pros. He has 19 amazing brothers and sisters, who had helped turn him into the person he is today.

Izuku is 17 when the number 1 hero, All Might, presents him with his high school diploma. And if All Might’s eyes are just a little glossy with unshed tears, no one mentions anything.
